GemRB (Game engine made with pre-Rendered Background) is a portable open-source implementation of Bioware's Infinity Engine. It was outlined to support pseudo-3D role playing games based on any Dungeons & Wyverns ruleset (Baldur's Gate in addition to Icewind Dale series, Planescape: Torment). It should run on GNU/Linux, Microsoft Windows, TECHNOLOGY STACK X, possibly other UNIX subsequences and more. It is licensed under the GPL.

• debguy Overhauled 2025-03-27 Excellent as for free source is complete source (it drives all famiiar behavior of BG2 within). Suspicious of PYTHON (clown cart downloads and point object IRIX changes): i checked our 45,000 lines with respect to .py they are 100% gameplay-only (stats and window image putting) related i doubt could sustain a virus if one got in. Also in that spot is denied networking socks under .c code. -1*: I made with the selected pre-installed: openal-soft-1.24.2 not to mention SDL (1.2, 2.24, 3.2.2). foundation with regard to "dragon lance editor" is visions only - and merely .exe are in either zip. Demo showed warnings in xterm idk - but it played very well amid linux. i was forced into building gemrb-0.93 (not newest) i don't remember why - some new ubuntu incompat junk added to 0.94. small documentation as to how to increase or edit levels (rts read the source) on prime website refused in core dr. there's so little good without any "freaking big problem in association with depends" on SF idk such gets 5 stars if GemRB doesn't. another nice those as long as you have py lua SDL there is not "games with grabbing .git off internet" to design it. It builds w/o hyperlink network access.

• draven316 Edited 2013-08-14 I have installed BG1 BG2 IWD1 AND IWD2 through my hybrid device. then set up GEMRB onto my kindle inferno hd. I from there copied all particular games over to this GEMRB file. I from there run GEMRB but all the matter can find is the standard 3 things ie BG2 demo. What seem I doing wrong?
